Branched-chain amino acids or BCAA.

Why do we need BCAAs?

During hard training, our body needs diverse nutrients to be used as a source of energy.  When  strength or endurance training is performed, muscle fibers are under  great stress. 

To be able to respond suitably, our body uses carbohydrates and amino acids to produce energy.

If our body is deprived of such sources of energy, it will steal amino acids from the muscles to make up for such demand.  This catabolic condition will result in a loss of muscle mass.
